Nothing Phone 3 Battery and Charging Details Revealed, Outperforming the S25 Ultra

The Nothing Phone 3 is making headlines as it approaches its launch on July 1. Recent leaks and official disclosures have provided significant insights into the device ahead of its unveiling. A regulatory filing has revealed key details such as battery capacity, charging speed, and more. The FCC filing for the Nothing Phone 3, identified by the model number A024, confirms a battery capacity of 5,150mAh.

This figure is 300mAh greater than the Nothing Phone 2 and slightly surpasses the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 5,000mAh capacity. However, it still falls short compared to the OnePlus 13, which boasts a 6,000mAh battery. Regarding charging capabilities, the Nothing Phone 3 will support 65W charging. This stands in contrast to earlier rumors suggesting 100W support but remains an improvement over both the Nothing Phone 2’s 45W charging and Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series.

Other noteworthy aspects mentioned in the filing include the presence of Nothing OS 3.3 and a metal frame. The regulatory label also outlines potential markets for the phone, including Australia/New Zealand, Canada, the EU, Japan, Taiwan, and the U.S. While this list is not a guarantee of availability in these regions, it hints at the company’s plans for broader distribution. Additionally, Nothing has confirmed that the Phone 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip.

While benchmarks suggest this chip may not outperform last year’s top models in peak performance, it shows competitive results in sustained workloads. Notably, the Phone 3 will not feature the brand’s Glyph lighting system, although rumors indicate the possibility of a dot matrix-style lighting system on the back.
