Leak Reveals Galaxy Watch 8 Series Features a Distinctive Squircle Design You Can’t Escape

Recent leaks have presented exciting images of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 series, which includes the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025. All models are expected to feature the “squircle” design first introduced with the Galaxy Watch Ultra in 2024. Notably, the Ultra 2025 is showcased in a striking blue color in these new renders. While Samsung has not announced an official date for its next Unpacked event, it is anticipated to take place next month.

This event will likely highlight not only the newest Galaxy foldable devices but also the latest smartwatch offerings. According to the information obtained by Android Headlines, the inclusion of the squircle design across all three models aligns with previous leaks, including insights from an APK teardown of the One UI 8 Watch firmware. Focusing on the Galaxy Watch 8, it’s reported that this model will adopt a boxier design and is expected to come in two sizes, similar to its predecessors, which offered 40mm and 44mm options. Meanwhile, renders of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic have appeared in earlier leaks, suggesting it will maintain a thicker bezel to distinguish it from the Ultra, which resembles it closely.

This model is also set to retain its rotating crown, enhanced by notches and will feature the Ultra’s Quick button. As for the Ultra 2025, it seems the design will remain largely unchanged aside from the new color option. In 2024, users could choose between an Orange or Dark Gray finish. While no launch date has been confirmed, industry insiders suggest that the timing may mirror last year’s schedule, with speculation of an Unpacked event around July 10.

However, there is some disagreement among sources, leaving the exact launch timing uncertain.
