Carl Pei Announces Upcoming Release of Nothing Phone 3 – Android Authority

Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, has officially confirmed that the Nothing Phone 3 is set to launch in the third quarter of 2025. Based on this announcement, July appears to be the most likely month for the unveiling of the company’s next flagship device. In an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session held on X, Pei shared insights regarding the upcoming phone.

The scheduled Q3 release aligns with the company’s pattern of previous flagship launches, with the Nothing Phone 2 being released on July 11, 2023, and the original Phone 1 debuting in July 2022. If historical trends continue, the Phone 3 could be available in the middle of summer. Earlier this year, Nothing introduced two mid-range devices, the Phone 3a and the Phone 3a Pro, and they are expected to unveil the CMF Phone 2 Pro later this month.

Following this, the Phone 3 is anticipated to be the premium offering in their lineup, building on the success of the Nothing Phone 2. During the AMA, Pei provided additional insights, including the typical timeframe for developing a phone from concept to market, which ranges from nine to 18 months depending on the product’s complexity. This information might give a clue about the development timeline for the Phone 3.

Pei also mentioned his simple breakfast of an egg, black coffee, and vitamin D, adding a personal touch to the session. While details about the chipset and pricing for the Nothing Phone 3 remain undisclosed, the confirmation of the Q3 release suggests that more information will soon be available.
