Gmail Enhances Web Features for Streamlined Newsletter and Mailing List Management – Android Authority

Gmail is enhancing its web client by introducing a new “Manage subscriptions” feature aimed at helping users organize their inboxes more efficiently. This new page will allow users to see all of their mailing lists, along with the frequency of emails from each sender. Users can easily unsubscribe from unwanted newsletters with a simple click, streamlining the email management process. The “Manage subscriptions” button can be found in the left panel of the Gmail web app, located between the “Spam” and “Manage labels” options.

Once clicked, users are directed to a dedicated page listing their subscriptions and the sending frequency for each. If a user wishes to stop receiving emails from a sender, they can do so with the “Unsubscribe” button, which is similar to the one typically seen in promotional emails. It’s important to note that after unsubscribing, it may take some time for the request to be processed, which means users might still receive a few more messages. For immediate relief from unwanted emails, users have the option to block senders, which will automatically direct their emails to the spam folder.

This feature is gradually rolling out to Gmail on the web, so not every user may have access just yet. However, this functionality has been available on the Android app since late April, meaning many users may already be benefiting from it on mobile devices. Google continues to enhance Gmail with user-friendly features. Recently, they introduced a “mark as read” button for notifications on Android, indicating a commitment to improving the overall user experience.

With these updates, users may find themselves more willing to explore Gmail’s AI features without frustration.
