Samsung is gearing up to introduce the Galaxy Buds Core, a replacement for the Galaxy Buds FE. Although a specific launch date has yet to be announced, a recent leak suggests that the unveiling may be imminent. This leak provided insights into the design and features of the new wireless earbuds, sparking excitement among potential users. The Galaxy Buds Core (SM-R410) briefly appeared on Samsung UAE’s website before being removed.
However, information was captured by sources such as SamMobile, revealing that the new earbuds will likely resemble the Galaxy Buds FE and will be available in black and white. Notably, these earbuds are expected to feature active noise cancelation (ANC) similar to its predecessor. In addition to ANC, the Galaxy Buds Core will support Bluetooth 5.4 along with three audio codecs: AAC, SBC, and SSC. Each earbud is reported to weigh 53g and measure 19.2×17.1×22.2mm, providing a compact design.
With an IP54 rating, these earbuds will also offer decent water and dust resistance, making them suitable for various environments. One of the most exciting aspects mentioned in the leaks is the impressive battery life. According to the leaked certification listing, the earbuds may receive a battery upgrade, with a rating of 200mAh—likely 100mAh for each earbud and 500mAh for the charging case. When ANC is turned off, the Galaxy Buds Core are said to last an impressive 35 hours on a single charge, which decreases to 20 hours with ANC activated.
There’s speculation that Samsung could unveil these new earbuds during its next Unpacked event on July 9. However, rumors suggest that the Galaxy Buds Core might not be released in the US, leaving some potential customers disappointed.
