Trump Phone Website Swaps ‘Made in the USA’ for Nationalistic Appeal – Android Authority

The Trump Mobile website has recently modified its messaging regarding the T1 Phone, removing the earlier claim that it is “Made in the USA.” Instead, it now features vague patriotic phrases such as “American-Proud Design.” This alteration raises questions about the manufacturing origins of the phone, especially since precise details were previously highlighted during its launch last week.

The previous promotional material emphasized that the T1 Phone was manufactured domestically, specifically in states like Alabama, California, and Florida. However, the updated language lacks any specific assertions regarding U.S. production, leaving potential buyers uncertain about where the phone is actually made. Phrases like “designed with American values in mind” and “American hands behind every device” may evoke patriotic sentiments but do not clarify the manufacturing process or location.

In addition to the changes in language, the product specifications on the site have also been altered. Notably, the screen size has decreased from 6.78 inches to 6.25 inches, and a reference to 12GB of RAM has been omitted entirely. Furthermore, the projected delivery timeframe has shifted from a commitment to ship in September to a more indefinite “later this year.”

For those interested in purchasing the T1 Phone, a $100 deposit is required for preordering, with the remaining balance of $399 charged upon shipment. Given the recent changes and uncertainties surrounding the phone, many consumers might find themselves looking for alternatives instead.
