Samsung has officially announced the date for its next Unpacked event, which is set to take place in New York City on July 9, 2025, at 10 AM ET/7 AM PT. This event, the second Unpacked of the year, will be highlighted by the launch of the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Following recent leaks, we can now look forward to watching the event live on Samsung’s YouTube channel and website. In addition to the new foldables, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 8 series, alongside a new Galaxy Watch Ultra for 2025.
While there had been speculation about an “Ultra” foldable device, recent clarifications indicate that the term “Ultra” actually refers to significant enhancements in the new foldables, particularly with the ultra-thin design of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, rather than indicating an entirely new device. There are also credible rumors about the Galaxy S25 FE, which is projected to be a more budget-friendly addition to the Galaxy S25 lineup.
Although there is some uncertainty regarding its release timing, the Unpacked event presents an ideal opportunity for Samsung to introduce the S25 FE. However, the company typically avoids overshadowing its phones, suggesting that the FE may debut at a different time.
Beyond hardware, software and AI advancements are also on the agenda, with the stable launch of One UI 8 anticipated. The new foldables are expected to be the first to ship with Android 16 pre-installed.
