OPPO has recently introduced the Find X8 Ultra, a significant upgrade over the already impressive Find X8 and X8 Pro models. This new phone boasts powerful specifications, headlined by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, providing enhanced performance compared to the Dimensity 9400 chip found in its predecessor. Additionally, the Find X8 Ultra is equipped with a robust 6,100mAh battery and supports 100W wired charging, surpassing the Pro’s 5,910mAh battery and 80W charging capability while maintaining the same 50W for wireless charging.
In terms of design and display, the Find X8 Ultra features a 6.82-inch QHD+ flat OLED screen that achieves a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. This is an improvement over the Pro model’s configuration, which includes a smaller 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display and lower peak brightness. The phone also switches to an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, enhancing security and usability.
Camera capabilities are another area where the Find X8 Ultra excels. It maintains a quad-camera setup consisting of four 50MP rear cameras, but with larger sensors for superior image quality. The main camera uses a one-inch LYT-900 sensor, while the 3x camera features a 1/1.56-inch sensor.
Additionally, the phone includes a 6x periscope camera with a larger 1/1.95-inch sensor, marking a notable advancement over the Find X8 Pro. The Find X8 Ultra is poised to be a powerhouse in photography, with features like a 2MP “true chroma camera” that detects color temperature and a variety of shooting modes including 4K video capabilities. Unfortunately, the device is currently only available in China, priced between approximately $884 and $1,088 for different configurations.
Despite its limited availability, OPPO hints that many technologies from this phone may appear in future global releases.
