A recently released YouTube video showcases a dummy model of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, giving us a closer look at the anticipated design based on leaks and rumors. This video highlights the foldable phone’s ultra-thin profile, providing side-by-side comparisons that reveal its significant reduction in thickness compared to the Fold 6.
Notably, the dummy model features a switch to a punch-hole camera and a larger outer display. With Samsung’s next Unpacked event approaching, this mockup offers a promising glimpse into the potential physical attributes of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The video, created by TheSINZA and shared by tipster Tarun Vats on social media, demonstrates a physical unit that, while not an official Samsung product, reflects the latest public rumors and renders. The dummy aligns with recent information about the switch from an under-display camera, an increased cover screen size, and Samsung’s goal to reduce both thickness and weight in this iteration.
According to the video, the Z Fold 7 dummy measures just 9mm thick when folded, making it noticeably slimmer than the 12.1mm thickness of the Fold 6. When unfolded, it is estimated to be about 4.5mm thick, consistent with leaked thickness specifications.
The model is also said to feature a 6.5-inch outer screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio, enhancing one-handed usability compared to previous models. Additionally, the video mentions a rumored weight of 215 grams, making it lighter than both the Fold 6 and the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
However, this weight figure appears to be speculative, as there have been no concrete leaks confirming it. Inside, the dummy is said to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, along with other advanced technologies like Wi-Fi 7 and reverse wireless charging.
Samsung has promoted the Fold 7 as its “thinnest, lightest, and most advanced foldable yet,” and if the dummy model is an accurate representation, anticipation for its release continues to grow.
