Significant Customization Upgrade for Good Lock Module in One UI 8 Now Available

Samsung has recently enhanced its One-Hand Operation Plus module, which is part of the popular Good Lock customization suite. This update introduces two significant features that improve the functionality of gesture controls on devices running One UI, especially with the upcoming release of One UI 8.

One of the main highlights of this update is the ability to set multiple gesture handles on each side of the screen. Previously, users could only have one handle on the left and one on the right.

Now, it is possible to create several handles on either side, which could be particularly useful when using the device in landscape mode or for accessing different controls located in various areas of the screen. For those unfamiliar with Good Lock, it allows users to perform a range of actions through swipe gestures using these handles.

For instance, swiping inward can take you back, while specific diagonal swipes can open notifications or recent apps. This flexibility enhances user experience significantly.

Additionally, the update includes a new System Back Gesture toggle. This feature allows users to employ the system back gesture while the gesture handles are active, addressing a previous limitation.

In the past, if a handle was enabled on a side, the back gesture could not be performed on that same side. This new option enhances usability and ensures smoother navigation.

As Samsung gears up for the official launch of One UI 8, further updates to Good Lock modules are anticipated. The new software is expected to roll out with Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices next month.
