Samsung appears to be planning to enhance its audio lineup with two new models of earbuds: the Galaxy Buds Core and the Galaxy Buds 3 FE. The Galaxy Buds Core may serve as the successor to the Galaxy Buds FE, potentially omitting the namesake “Galaxy Buds 2 FE” or “Galaxy Buds FE 2.” Meanwhile, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE could extend the series further, even though the Galaxy Buds 2 FE have not yet been released. Samsung has consistently produced high-quality earbuds, particularly favored by users of Galaxy devices. The last model introduced in the Galaxy Buds series was the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, which debuted in July-August 2024.
Given this timeframe, fans are eager for new options, and it seems Samsung is set to deliver not just one but two new models to consider. An APK teardown of the Galaxy Buds Controller app has revealed several model numbers connected to these upcoming earbuds. Notably, the numbers include R400 for the Galaxy Buds FE, R410 for the Galaxy Buds Core, and R420 for the Galaxy Buds 3 FE. There had been speculation around the introduction of a “Galaxy Buds FE 2,” but it now seems that Samsung might pivot to the new designation of Galaxy Buds Core instead.
At this moment, details regarding the specifications of these earbuds remain scarce. Additionally, it is uncertain whether both models will be unveiled at the forthcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which is anticipated to showcase the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Further information will be provided as developments unfold.
