Google recently informed its Pixel Superfans that the anticipated showcase of the Pixel 10 will not take place this month. Initially, Google had invited Superfans to apply for a chance to experience “pre-release Pixel devices” at a special event in London set for June 27. However, the company has now rescheduled to September 4 due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
Despite this change, it remains uncertain if the overall launch timeline for the Pixel 10 has been affected; current leaks suggest a mid-August release. Excitement surrounding the Pixel 10 continues, especially with the upcoming improvements in technology. The new device will feature Google’s Tensor G5 chip, built on TSMC’s advanced fabrication.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see the hardware and accessories, including the new “Pixelsnap” accessories. Last month, news emerged of an exclusive group receiving early access to these pre-release devices, prompting speculation that a launch might be anticipated earlier than last year’s event, which occurred on August 13. Following this initial excitement, further leaks hinted that Google might target an August launch, first mentioning August 13 and later shifting to August 20.
While we await official confirmation from Google regarding the Pixel 10’s launch date, they have recently reached out to the selected Superfans with disappointing news about the June event cancellation. Google offered an alternative: an invitation to the Pixel Superfans Insider Event on September 4. The reason for the postponement remains vague, with no specific details provided, leaving room for speculation.
Nonetheless, the focus remains on August, as fans look forward to the introduction of the Pixel 10 lineup.
