Galaxy Z Fold 7 Thickness Revealed: New Leak Suggests It’s Almost Record-Breaking Slimness

Recent leaks regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 7 suggest that it could boast a remarkable thickness of just 8.9mm when folded, a significant reduction from last year’s model which was 12.1mm thick. Alongside this, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also anticipated to become slimmer and lighter, with enhanced display features and a larger 4,300mAh battery. The leaks, originating from the Weibo leaker Setsuna Digital, highlight the impressive dimensions of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, measuring 8.9mm when closed and only 4.2mm when unfolded.

These figures place Samsung’s upcoming flagship in a competitive position, edging close to the OPPO Find N5, which currently holds the record at 8.93mm thick. However, HONOR’s upcoming Magic V5 is rumored to surpass them both, measuring in at 8.8mm when folded. Nonetheless, the reduction from 12.1mm to 8.9mm showcases Samsung’s significant efforts in design improvement.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to weigh 215g and sport a 6.5-inch cover display alongside an 8-inch internal display, both larger than the previous Galaxy Z Fold 6. The device will also feature advanced components, including a 200MP main camera and a 10MP front camera with a 100-degree wide-angle. An enhanced Armor Aluminum frame and a glass-ceramic back panel enhance the device’s premium feel, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7’s specs reveal that it will be 13.7mm thick when closed and 6.5mm when unfolded. Weighing 188g, it is expected to feature a 4.1-inch cover display and a 6.9-inch internal screen, both supporting a 120Hz refresh rate.
