Samsung has announced a new feature aimed at enhancing customer support for Galaxy phone owners. The company revealed that it will now provide QR and NFC-enabled support at its repair centers.
This innovative approach allows customers to register their devices without the need to complete a lengthy registration form, significantly reducing wait times during the repair process. The new feature is accessible to users with Galaxy devices running Android 10 or later and requires NFC capability to utilize that specific option.
This improvement means that even older models like the Galaxy S10 and A50 can benefit from the streamlined service. Customers can register their devices by simply scanning a QR code or utilizing NFC, which is linked to their Samsung account.
Currently, this enhancement is rolled out in 36 markets, including the United States, and is part of Samsung’s broader effort to improve its support services. A comprehensive list of markets includes countries like Argentina, Brazil, France, India, Mexico, and Spain, among others.
Samsung has indicated that the QR and NFC-enabled customer support feature will eventually be expanded to additional markets with future updates. Initially, it will be available in a limited number of repair shops, but the company plans to increase its reach following the initial deployment.
This initiative reflects Samsung’s commitment to improving customer experience and reflects their ongoing enhancements, such as those introduced in the One UI 8 beta program. Overall, this innovation is a significant step forward in making customer service more efficient and user-friendly for Galaxy smartphone owners.
