Samsung’s Good Lock app, which allows users to customize the One UI interface, has recently undergone updates to address several issues following its global rollout. Initially limited to specific regions, the app is now available to a wider audience through the Play Store.
Despite some teething problems after the launch, Samsung has worked diligently to resolve these concerns, offering users an enhanced experience. One significant issue users faced was the unavailability of certain customization modules after the app’s global launch.
Many users previously found that some features were missing entirely. However, Samsung has confirmed that these modules are now available for download.
Some of the noteworthy modules include LockStar for customizing lock screens, Home Up for launcher settings, ClockFace for personalizing clock displays, NotiStar for managing notification history, and MultiStar to boost multitasking capabilities. Additionally, Display Assistant (beta) offers extended display functionalities.
While Samsung has made significant improvements by restoring these modules, it’s important to note that three modules—Galaxy to Share, Dropship, and RegiStar—have been removed from the global version. These features were exclusively available in South Korea, suggesting they were not intended for the international rollout.
Nevertheless, there is a possibility that they could eventually become available in other markets. In conclusion, Samsung’s proactive approach to updating the Good Lock app demonstrates its commitment to user customization.
With the reintegration of valuable modules and the removal of region-specific features, users are likely to enjoy a more seamless and personalized experience.
