Samsung has officially begun the rollout of the stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series. After months of anticipation, beta testing, and uncertainty around the release date, this update is finally reaching users. South Korea is the first market to receive the update, while other global regions, excluding the US and Canada, are expected to follow shortly.
For users currently on the One UI 7 beta, the update will be available to them first. The size of the update may vary; those participating in the beta will find a different file size compared to first-time install users. The stable update for the Galaxy S24 series carries build numbers S928NKSU4BYCG/S928NOKR4BYCG/S928NOKR4BYCG.
In addition to the Galaxy S24 series, this first wave of the One UI 7 update also includes the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Future batches are anticipated to bring the update to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S10 and S9 series. While specific dates for these devices have yet to be announced, the rollout is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
Users in the US and Canada will need to exercise a bit more patience, as Samsung has indicated that the rollout for these markets will commence on April 10 for the US and April 11 for Canada. To verify whether the One UI 7 update is available for your device, navigate to Settings, then Software Update, and select Check for updates. Note that availability may differ across markets, so the update might not be immediately visible.
This is a developing situation, and more updates will follow as they become available.
