Roku’s latest streaming sticks tackle two common problems with a compact, energy-efficient design.

Roku has recently introduced two new streaming sticks that aim to tackle common consumer issues with a compact and power-efficient design. Alongside the new sticks, Roku has also unveiled its 2025 lineup of Roku TVs, which features an expansive 85-inch model, and plans to roll out several new software features for existing devices.

The new Roku Streaming Stick and Streaming Stick Plus replace the outdated Roku Express and Roku Express 4K+ models. These ultra-compact sticks have been designed to avoid blocking adjacent HDMI ports, a common frustration with bulkier devices from competitors.

Additionally, they are designed to draw power directly from the TV, eliminating the need for a separate power source and creating a cleaner setup without tangled cables. The entry-level Roku Streaming Stick offers HD output and maintains all essential features associated with Roku TV devices.

For those looking for enhanced video quality, the Streaming Stick Plus supports 4K and HDR content. Pricing for the new devices is set at $29.99 for the standard model and $39.99 for the Plus version, with pre-orders available now and retail availability commencing on May 6.

In terms of its TVs, Roku’s 2025 lineup promises significant improvements, featuring custom tuning for better color and contrast, improved audio output, and quicker app loading times. The new Roku Plus Series TVs incorporate Smart Picture Max technology alongside mini-LED backlighting and a remote-finder button.

Additionally, all new models will support Bluetooth Headphone Mode for easy pairing with headphones. For existing Roku TV users, new software features will be rolled out, including a “Coming Soon to Theaters” row and personalized content options in the Sports Zone.

Furthermore, Roku has announced two new battery-powered security cameras for indoor and outdoor use, providing 1080p video capture and long-lasting rechargeable batteries. These innovative cameras will be available in the coming months, with more details to follow.
