Samsung has begun the early rollout of the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S22 series and several other models, including the Galaxy S23 FE, Z Fold 4, and Z Flip 4. The update not only brings the new user interface but also includes the April security patch. Currently, this update is being released in South Korea, with expectations for a global launch to follow soon. After a slow start, Samsung has accelerated its release schedule in recent weeks.
Following the deployment of the new operating system to the Galaxy S23 and Tab S10 in the US last week, the company is now extending the update to six additional Galaxy devices. The early rollout of One UI 7 is surprising, as these models were initially slated to receive the update in May. For the Galaxy S23 FE, the firmware version associated with the One UI 7 update is S711NKSU5CYDA. The Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 have a different firmware version ending with HYD9, while the S22 series devices have a build version that ends in FYD9.
In addition to One UI 7, users can expect the latest security enhancements included in the April 2025 security patch. Given the current pace of the rollout, it is anticipated that remaining eligible devices will receive the update shortly. With the arrival of Android 16 on the horizon, there are high hopes that Samsung will expedite the rollout of its upcoming Android update as well.
