Google Fi Offers Free Plan Upgrade for 10th Anniversary Celebration

Google Fi is celebrating its 10-year anniversary by launching a new plan and enhancing existing offerings. The new plan, “Unlimited Essentials,” features unlimited calls, texts, and data, including 30GB of high-speed data, all for $35 per month. In addition to this new option, Google Fi is upgrading its other Unlimited plans, expanding coverage, and introducing new promotions.

The existing Simply Unlimited and Unlimited Plus plans are being rebranded as Unlimited Standard and Unlimited Premium, respectively. Existing Unlimited Standard customers will see an upgrade, increasing their high-speed data from 35GB to 50GB, as well as providing more hotspot tethering data, now at 25GB. Meanwhile, Unlimited Premium now offers 100GB of high-speed data and 50GB of high-speed hotspot tethering, maintaining its price of $65 per month alongside Unlimited Standard at $50.

Moreover, Google Fi is greatly expanding its international 5G coverage by adding 54 new countries, more than doubling its previous offerings. Notably, the service will now support international 5G on iPhones, in addition to Android devices. The company is also introducing support for cellular-enabled tablets and laptops with data-only eSIMs, previously only accessible via physical data-only SIM cards.

As part of its anniversary celebration, Google Fi is running a limited-time promotion for both new and existing customers. New customers can enjoy a $300 discount on the Pixel 9 Pro, receiving the remaining $699 back over 24 months. Additionally, there’s a $100 discount available for the Pixel Watch 3.

Existing customers will receive “deeper instant rebate discounts” for all Pixel 9 phones, with details available through their Fi accounts.
