Recent leaks indicate that the Galaxy S25 Edge could feature premium materials, including titanium bezels and a yet-to-be-released variant of Gorilla Glass. Corning has only recently launched the first generation of Gorilla Glass Ceramic, yet reports suggest that this Samsung flagship may utilize its second-generation variant. Additional rumored specifications include a sleek 5.8mm thickness, a lightweight design of 163g, the Snapdragon 8 Elite System on Chip (SoC), and an impressive 200MP camera. Samsung has been teasing the Galaxy S25 Edge, and anticipation is mounting ahead of its expected launch on May 13 during a dedicated Unpacked event, with a global release anticipated by May 30.
Leaker Evan Blass has shared what seems to be a leaked press release or marketing material that reveals key details about the upcoming device. Along with the aforementioned specs, the leaked information highlights a “pro-grade” 200MP camera and an all-day battery, supported by advanced AI features. This leak also confirms the inclusion of a titanium bezel and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for additional durability. Corning’s first-generation Gorilla Glass Ceramic was designed to enhance toughness, although its specific advantages over Gorilla Armor 2 and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 remain somewhat unclear.
It is surprising to see references to a second-generation variant of this protective glass before experiencing the first generation in any product. Moreover, leaks suggest that the pricing of the Galaxy S25 Edge may compete closely with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. With further details expected soon, the excitement surrounding the Galaxy S25 Edge continues to grow.
