Samsung has recently launched the One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy A55 5G in South Korea, with expectations for expansion to other regions soon. The stable rollout of One UI 7 is slated to begin on April 7, starting with flagship models. This update has been highly discussed, drawing both praise and criticism due to its considerable delay, which has raised concerns about Samsung’s software update commitments.
The One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy A55 5G is now open, according to announcements in Samsung’s Community forums. Users in South Korea can participate by downloading the Samsung Members app, logging in with their Samsung account, and clicking on the One UI 7 beta program banner displayed on the app’s home page. In order to install the update, they will need to navigate to Settings, select Software update, and then click on Download and install.
While Samsung has not specified if the beta will be available in other regions, it is likely that users in places like the US, UK, and India will have access in the upcoming days. The stable update rollout will begin primarily with flagship devices, suggesting that Galaxy A55 5G users may still have to wait a bit longer for a fully tested version. Currently, the One UI 7 beta is also accessible for several other devices, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Tab S10 series.
Although Samsung has not provided clear timelines for the stable update, a list of confirmed devices set to receive One UI 7 is available, and many users are eager for the stable version, particularly those awaiting Android 15.
